WHAT KIND OF FOOD DO THE SUNBURST EAT?
I JUST GOT 2 SUNBURST AND I HAD 4 COMET GOLDFISHES IN MY FISH TANK CAN THEY HARM EACH OTHER?
I ALSO HAVE ANOTHER SEPARATE FISH TANK WITH 20 COMET GOLDFISHES AND A RED EYE TETRA CAN THEY HARM EACH OTHER?
ANOTHER QUESTION I HAVE IS CAN MY BIGGER FISH HARM MY LITTLE FISH?

Answer
Hello there!

I'll answer your questions in the order you have asked them.

1.) Male and Female Comet Goldfishes aren't very easy to tell apart unfortunately. Only when they are in spawning condition. Sunburst fishes (platies I assume) are easy however. The bottom fin in front of their tail is the indicator. In females it is fan-shaped. In males it is pointed.

2.) Sunburst eat both vegetable-based foods and protein-based foods. So a high-quality tropical flake food works well and you can supplement with frozen worms, shrimp, and other small foods. Algae wafers, zucchini, romaine lettuce, green peas are always appreciated too.

3.) Comet goldfish and Sunburst should be peaceful together.

4.) Comet goldfish and red-eye tetras should be peaceful together as well.

5.) That's a difficult one! But take a look at the size of the larger fishes mouth (when they feed and how big it opens) to determine if the larger fish could indeed swallow your smaller ones.

I do hope this helps!
