Bushy nosed plecos

Question
Hi there,

I had a question about bushy nosed plecostomus. I have one already in my 35 gallon tank, and I want to get another one to keep in my 10 gallon Quarantine tank for two weeks before I introduce him into the big tank. I do not know if the current one I have is a male or a female, but it does seem to have very long tubes on his/her nose. Would two bushy nosed plecos act territorial around eachother and fight? Or would they be peaceful. I want to get an albino bushy nosed to go along with my regular bushy nosed pleco. The regular bushy nosed pleco currently lives peacefully with a common pleco of the same size.

If it helps to know, My 35 gallon tank is not crowded, housing only 1 guppy, 1 neon tetra, 1 small molly, and 3 danios along with the common and bushy pleco.

What do you think about getting an additional pleco? They are my favorite fish, but I do not want any more fighting like I had with my betta and my Chinese algae eater that I asked you about last night. Neither of them survived, sadly, despite my efforts with separating them and providing stress coat.

Answer
Anna,
sorry your fish did not make it.
On the pleco's, usually they get along well with no trouble.
I would make sure to have some driftwood in the tank for them to rasp on. It is needed in their diet
I would say the only time you may have a problem is breeding time, make sure there are hiding places.
Other than that, you are good to go.
