Keyhole Cichlids

Hi Richard

I saw you mention Keyhole Cichlids in a few of your posts. I found a fish store that carries them, but before I buy one, are they compatible with Angelfish? And do they do well as singels or are they schoolers or prefer groups?

Keyhole Cichlids are very peaceful and are indeed compatible with Angels, as long as the Angels and the Keyhole are similar in size. You don't want to put a small Keyhole in with adult Angels, or small Angels with an adult Keyhole. I have a Keyhole Cichlid in with Black Marble Angels and they never bother each other.

Keyhole Cichlids can be kept in groups or as singles which is pretty much the same as any Cichlid.
