fresh water bass

I just got my fresh water bass from a friend who got it from a river and she gave it to me in the foggy water she got from the same river and I used the same water because I wasn't sure if it would be safe to switch it to regular sink water like my albino clawed frog lives in.It has a pump for oxygen but he still looks like hes gasping for air should I put him in the regular water like my other fish?

Hi Destiny;

Change some of his water right away. Putting him in all new water could shock him. Replace 25% today and change another 25% every day for 4 or 5 days. Be sure the new water is exactly the same temperature as the old dirty water and use a water conditioner too.
