Question
I currently have a tank with alot of black mollies in it (I had one female that had 35 fry at one time).  I would like to add some color to my tank and don't really want any more mollies.  Can you recommend any other kinds of fish that would do well in a tank with them?

Answer
Hello,

I would recommend some small and peaceful fish. Tetras are always good ones and come in lots of colors that could brighten your tank up beautifully. Something else you may want to try is a rainbow shark or two, they have very nice red fins and are quite peaceful- as long as you don't mistake their more aggresive look-alikes, red tail sharks, for them. Khuli loaches are neat, because they are pink striped, and if you get a small school of them they can be quite active and interesting and are completely harmless to other fish. I also like barbs, as they are not aggresive and come in some neat colors and patterns that you can't find in tetras such as the all-red cherry barbs and the striped tiger barbs.

I hope this has helped. Both barbs and tetras have lots of different types and colors for you to choose from.

Good-luck,
From Stephanie
