A start up tank for my 3 yr old

Hi Beth:  My husband and I would like to get our daughter a 5-10 gallon tank.  Which type of fish, tank size, filter etc. do you recommend.  We would like to stay away from goldfish - we think they die too quickly. Thanks for your help.

I won't be able to help you with filters, b/c i don't reallyknow anything about them.

But, however, Some good fish are guppys, they are schooling fish and stay together and are easy to take care of.

You don't want to over crowd them in a tank together. As longas it is not over crowded then they would be fine.
