tank upgrade

Question
Hi! I currently have a ten gallon tank and have a 30 gallon one that I am upgrading to. I got the larger tank from a man who had kept saltwater fish in it, and it has been rinsed out but I am worried about keeping my freshwater fish in it after it has been full of saltwater for so long, because I know the salty residue is very difficult to get rid of completely. Is it safe to put my fish in it? If not, are there any steps I should take to make it safe?

Thanks,
Charlie

Answer
Hi Charlie,
The tank will probably be OK. I would just rinse it out several times. Even a bit of residue shouldn't hurt anything.

If you are still worried you could always try keeping inexpensive fish in it first. But I'm quite confident you will be fine.

Best wishes and I hope this helps!
