Hi, I have a 55 gallon Aquarium, with African Cichlids. I am having a hard time keeping the bottom clean, what type of bottom feeders are best and is there a such fish that eat feces.

There are no fish that eat feces as far as I know. Even if they did, they make feces too so it's a constant cycle of waste and all part of nature. Do more cleaning, removing 25% of the water every week, vacuuming every 2 to 4 weeks and perhaps look into a better quality food. Low quality foods have more undigestible "filler" and thus produce more waste. Overfeeding causes excess waste with even good quality foods. Your fish should finish every speck of food you give them within five minutes. That's a once a day feeding. If you like to feed twice a day, they must finish within 2 minutes.
