QuestionHi Holli,
I am a newbie at this hobby. I have a FW 7.5 gallon tank with 2 angelfish and 2 guppies. The aquarium also has 3 plants and a log with moss on it. 6 days ago I introduced a catfish to the tank which probably had ich. I ofcourse know now that one has to quarantine new fish! I unfortunately lost it. Now my angels have the ich. I have raised the water temperature to 32C and added 7 teaspoons of salt to the water. I finished adding the salt about 8 hours ago. The temperature has been warm for 36 hours now. The angels have gotten worse. I am worried that they may not pull through this. Help!!
AnswerGo to the pet store and buy ick medication. The treatment works fast and gets rid of the parasites. I would also recommend for the future a bigger tank. Angelfish get up 6 inches and a 7 gallon tank will defiantly not hold two of them. They should be in at least a 20 gallon high tank.
