what to feed... ? ? ? !

Ok Well I just got 2 male guppie's and am getting a female very soon... i have an algea eater that is as big as my guppies... but i dont knowwhat to feed it my friend said to tie a peice of cuccumber on a rick at the bottom... is that all?

Hi,
Do you mean the algae eater?
It depends what sort of algae eater he is, but most will eat cucumber, peas, algae wafers and catfish/bottom feeder pellets.
Give him a balanced diet of all of those to keep him healthy.
Beware, most algae eaters grow to over a foot in length, even though they may just now be very small.
