African Dwarf Frog

Question
I have two african dwarf frogs (ADF) and one is doing fine whereas the other one has this white fungus growth on his back. He just floats around on the top of the tank and definitely doesn't act the same. My fish had a fungal infection before I got this frog so I have a fungal medication by API. I didn't know if that would be safe to use or not on the frog because I know some scaleless fish have trouble with certain meds. Thanks!!

Answer
Hi Katherine,

Yes, put some in a bowl and dip him several times a day.  Double the dose in the bowl.  Dip him 15 minutes in the bowl per swim and then return him home.  Use your hand to transfer him.  Or something soft like a coffee cup, not a net.

His skin sloughing off could be pretty normal, but if it's a fungus it's detrimental to his health.

I have four of these frogs.  I love them so much.

Keep his tank water very clean. :)

Happy frog-keeping.
