filter problem

i have a 10 gal tank with 2 platys and 6 guppies
i have lost 2 guppies because they got stuck to the filter,
i dont know if it is the wrong, filter it came with the tank
help

Are you sure they died because of being stuck to the filter?
what kind of filter is it? What did the amount of gallons say on the box? You tank was just a little over stocked. They could have died for that reason and because the filter sucks in water it could have sucked their bodies to it that is the most common reason why fish end up stuck to the filter.
