Hi I was wondering if you can help me to figure out how much gravel should I buy for a fish tank. What is the rule of thumb a pound per gallon is it? and what is the rule of thumb for wattage 10 watts for every 5 gallons.

What size is your tank? I have a 30 gallon and used about 20 or so pounds of gravel. I don't think I've heard the rule of thumb for gravel though.. The rule of thumb for wattage is 5 watts for every 5 gallons. If yours was a 30 gallon tank (using my tank as an example) you would have to get a 150 Watt heater.
