Question
I got a question about the whole cycle thing.
My cousin told that i should have bacteria in my aquarium that would turn the ammonia in my tank into nitrite then turn nitrite into nitrate then change the water by 50% to complete the cycling process. But i got a question about how to create a needed amount of ammonia in my tank for the cycling process to take place. Isn't there anything that i can add to the aquarium to create that needed amount of ammonia????????????????????????????????

Answer
You have a couple of options.
1. if you have no fish in the tank, you can add a 1/2 capful of 100% pure ammonia with no additives and perfumes and soap.  Test daily, keep it above 4ppm until nitrates start forming.  Change 50% of water until no ammonia, nirtite, and under 10ppm nitrate.  Then add a bunch of fish.

2. if you have fish, just keep changing the water when ammonia and nitrite get above .25 and nitrate above 10ppm

you could add biospira which will nearly instantly cycle the tank
