QuestionHello, I have one male and one female Gouramis in a 55 gal tank. I have noticed that the female recently lost her black spots. They have always looked lighter than the other Gourami. Is this normal? I recently lost 3 pygmy corys in the tank. The male Gourami attacked them all even though they have lived with eachother for about a year.
Thank you so much for your time to help.
AnswerHi Christine
Fish often change colors as they age. If they appear healthy otherwise and are swimming and eating normally, I doubt it is anything to worry about. Any time small Corys are put in a tank, plenty of rocks and caves need to be provided for them to get out of harms way. Especially with more aggressive Gouramis.
Hope this helps, good luck!
