omg one of the fish got big!

well about a month ago my brother got two danios. after 3 weeks one of them got big. is she pregnant or not?

Danios are egglayers so they really don't get 'pregnant' the way livebearing fish do. Danios grow eggs inside them and they do get pretty fat. If there are males in the tank with her they could indeed spawn! Here is a web page about it;

If the fish got fat pretty quickly, it might be something else that could be going on. There is a condition known as dropsy. The body swells and eventually the scales begin to stick out and get a "pinecone" look to them. Here is a page about just in case;
