Question
I have recently purchased a used tank 120 gallons,it was a saltwater tank. how do i change it over to a fresh water tank and what do i need to start it?

Answer
Hi Danny, sorry this took so long. Changing a saltwater tank to a fresh water thank wont be as hard as having saltwater. You might need to get a new filter system to work with the freshwater tank, since the saltwater filters are a little different. But if its a standard power filter, throw away the pad and set it up in a empty container and turn it on and let it run to clean it out.

Also make sure you clean every thing, so there isn't any bacteria to harm new fish coming in. If there was any rocks in it, don't use them and instead get new ones, since they could carry bacteria in them. To clean the tank, you could use chlorine, and then let it dry in the sun, to zap away any left over chlorine, that could kill your fish.
Good Luck!
