red tailed shark - without red tail!

Hi, i have a new red tailed shark - never had one before. it has started to go seethrough and its tail is hardly red now. is this the stress of moving to a new tank? should i just see how it goes? i hope hes ok cos im really getting attached to him already!

Hello,

This does not sound healthy. You should check both your nitrites and ammonia to make sure these are not the problem. If they are not I would recommend treating your tank with a general antibacterial such as Melafix.
