damaged scales

Recently one of my gold fish damaged all the scales on the top of its head and I was wondering if the scales will grow back to normal or will it stay with a bare patch on its head? Many thanks, Simon.

Yes, they should grow back.  Just be sure to do regular weekly water changes, and keep the water quality good.  You could also add some MelaFix, it's an herbal remedy that works great for cuts and minor injuries fish get.  Both the water changes and the MelaFix will help so it doesn't get a bacterial infection.
