Question
I have a Platy that just gave birth to 67 fry. I removed her immediately after birth. She had them in a separate bowl. I transferred the fry after a few days into a breeding net which hangs on the aquarium. There is no chance of escape for the fry and no large fish can get into the nursery. There are no holes in the nursery netting. Now here's my question. I counted the fry today and I only have 12 out of 67 left. Where are they going? Do they eat each other? I can't figure out what has happened? Can you help!

Answer
hey jeep!
great question! and you wont believe the answer!
they are actually jumping out of the net.
if the net rim at the top is only and inch out  of the water they're  jumping out, look in your tank or on the floor! these little guys can gun almost 3inch up out of the water at anygivin chance.
sorry to hear that they go out better luck next time!
