when the male betta fish die

Question
What happen if the male betta fish die do I put a different male fish with the female?When the female lays eggs.Who going to help the female?

To be honest I'm not sure. If this happened to one male then it may have been he worked to hard on the bubble nest. I've heard males can work themselves to death. If it happened more than once with the same female I'd get another pair. If there are other fish in the tank he may have been killed. But I'm guessing here. You might want to ask another expert.
