Archer fish?

Question
Hello, I was wondering if an archer fish, living in a 10 gallon brackish water aquarium would have any aggression towards other fish, especially a 2 inch green spotted puffer. The puffer showed no aggression towards my other fish before I moved him to brackish water. But would an archer fish be aggressive towards him?

Answer
Hi Will:  The archer fish is going to eventually get to about 10 inches in length.  The older he/she gets the more territorial they are.  Puffers:  Puffers while cute have one of the nastiest dispositions I have ever seen in a fishtank.  They are cute and they seem non-aggressive but at night or when you are not watching they tend to harass other fish even to the point of death.  A two inch puffer needs a lot more space then just ten gallons as will/does your archer fish.  To answer your question... yes... your archer fish will be aggressive towards your puffer because archer fish love to eat... and he/she will look at your puffer as a competitor of food.  Do yourself a favor and separate the two... in fact they both need a bigger tank... hope this helps... dave
