Question
Hello,
I was away for vacation, and purchased a large conch shell along with some various small shells. How would I go about cleaning them to ensure no fish death to my population.

Answer
Hi Ryan:   I would first soak them in just plain tap water for about a day or so... then rinse and add about a cup of bleach to the bucket of water, wait a day then rinse again and then refill bucket with water/shells and add hypo to the water to make sure you neutralize the bleach and then finally re-rinse again... then insect and make sure they are clean ...add to tank... hope this helps... dave
