i ahsve two balla sharks and rwo comet gold fish with a placo they are all under 2 or 3 inches, i am under the impression that the fish will grow to the sizw of the enviroment but i also would like another fish such as an eel in my aquarium, the aquarium is 20 galons and has only been operational 2 weeks so do i wait or is there a fish that looks like an eel that will be smaller that would work better? i am new at fish keeping but it is a relaxing hobbie and i want somthing odd that will be easier to mantain i need help and the last time i asked a question to nick he was rude please help i really want this to work and be fun to.

Hi Ryan:  I would wait another two weeks before I added any more fish to a new tank.  You can overwhelm your tank with too many fish at one time.  You have also mixed cold water fish and warm water (tropical) fish which is difficult to do.  Usually one or the other gets sick.  You will want to keep an eye on your fish and make sure they do not start acting funny or growing white spots on their back and fins.  I think you should do some research on the Weather Loach and the Dojo Loach... as they will live well with what you have and are also eel like.  I have four loachs that I enjoy a great deal.  Keep me posted... dave
