My Oscar Pair

Question
Hey there!
I actually have a brown Oscar for about one year . his/her companion had died months ago and he/she was alone in my tank for long time so finally 2 weeks later I bought him/her a white Oscar same size as a friend.at first they fought awfully as the white one was about to kill the brown one . but since last few days I have noticed that they are getting well to each other extraordinarily good , as I am suspicious they have become a pair .
You see I had witnessed some other fishes getting pair and I think they are doing the same . they have changed the position of stones and the brown one just swims near those stones , inspecting on them and when the white one comes to him/her they swim near each other in an special way .
Do you think they are going to lay eggs ?they both are about 20 centimeters . can you please tell me how long should I let them stay with the baby fishes ? someone told me they would eat their babies . how long after laying eggs they will again breed ?
Please help me if you can !
thank you so much and sorry for my weak English !

Answer
Hello Soheil:  Usually it is good to introduce aggressive fish into a tank with a tank divider so that the two fish can get use to each other without fighting.  Since your fish have potentially paired off... you should expect eggs in about six weeks.  Watch for one of them to plump up.  they should take care of the eggs and the babies for about a month afterwards. After that time you will need to separate the babies from the parents as they will want to spawn again and then they will eat the babies.
