Question
Hello. I have a blue neon that lives with a 2 other tetras, a danio and a black molly in a 5 gallon tank. The water is fresh and all is good. But the blue tetra swims in figure eights lately, unless if its being chased around by the danio. Then the black moll will eventually chase the danio leaving the tetra to go back to the fig 8 motion. Why do they chase eachother and whats with the fig 8 stuff? Thanks..

Answer
Hey there,

wow werid question haha. Well as far as they chasing each other they could be trying to just make territorial rights, usually it's best to keep 3 of the same if that's what your going to do, they maybe very well community fish but they do have territorial rights they must set, so that's why they might be chasing each other.

As for the figure 8 i'm not sure, could be that's just what he likes to do, potentially a damaged fin, maybe he has a disorder of some kind. I'd wait it out and see what happens honestly. If they look healthy that just keep an eye on them.
