Pelcos

I recently received 2 pelcos, they came with the tank I bought.  The are about 7 years old.  The largest one has one continues poop string coming out of him for 3 days now and it is about 18 inches long.  Some has broken off and catches on the plants but it does stop.  I have other pelcos in my other tanks and never seen this before.  The smaller of the 2 is doing it too. Thanks for any help.

That's normal with plecos.  I call it decorating the tank....  That's also telling me there's lots of food/algae in the tank for them.  But still be sure to supplement their diets with algae wafers, shrimp pellets, zucchini, romaine lettuce, spinach, etc.  They can quickly run out of food and starve.
