Question
-I have one Betta(Siamese Fighting Fish, Male)
-Tank is 1 gallon and has been set up for 2 days
I am wondering about the water treatment product I bought. It is Betta Plus Bowl Conditioner by Nutrafin...
The instructions say to put approx. a capful per 1/2 a gallon.
I have heard from other people that this is too much. I need help immediately! I don't want to put too much or too little in.

Answer
Hi Karley;

Follow the instructions on the label. One capful treats 1/2 gallon. Even if it was too much it wouldn't hurt him. Water conditioners are very safe even in large doses. There are water conditioners more concentrated but not Betta Plus. It just has a lot more liquid than some of the others made for bigger tanks. It makes it easier to dose a smaller aquarium that way. Bettas are kept in smaller tanks so they just made it easier for you. Change his water once a week with the same temperature water as his old water and don't overfeed for the best of health.
