My orange zebra cichlid

I have had my orange zebra cichlid since it was a baby, and it was bright orange, hence the name dreamsicle...so anyways, she is about 6 months old and just recently has turned a very peach in color, and lightened up extremely. What is the reason for this?

Hi Tammy,
 Many cichlids change color as they get older.  Some get more intense in color, and some get less intense.  In some cases the color change is permanent and in other cases it isn't.  In the case of an orange zebra, it is usually permanent.  

 What are you feeding Dreamsicle?
