the fish from the movie Finding Nemo!

I would like to know what type of fish that marlin(nemos father) and dory ran into that was in the dark and had a light on the end of a thing coming out of his head. It was in the dark and lured the two fish to him with the bluish colored light!

Since I have not seen the movie "Finding Nemo" I had to look for the answer to your question on the internet at large. I believe this is the answer to your question:

"Back out at sea, Marlin and Dory have been sleeping inside the mask, which is caught on part of the submarine. When Marlin wakes up and tries to rouse Dory, she jerks awake, which is enough to cause the submarine to lurch, casting the mask into a deep, dark chasm. Dory recites the address perfectly, which is a big deal for her, because she doesn't remember things very well. They continue on their way, Dory happily repeating the address: P. So, according to that paragraph, the fish you are talking about is an anglerfish. Look at these Google results for pictures of anglerfish to see if that's the image you saw:
