fish with white spots

HI Ron,
My husband just got home from our trip out to see his mom and dads, Im still there in Ill with themwhen he called  me to tell me that are 4 month old fish and our two new two week old fish have white spots. I think thats its Ich and would like to do the salt treatment but i dont have a heat lamp. do we have to get one to warm up the water or is their another way to warm the water?  should was buy the over the counter stuff? what would be best for are little fined family?

Hi Ginger,
  You are much better to get an ich treatment such as Rid-Ich or Quik-Cure.  Salt is less effective.  Warming the water is not absolutely essential but it does help.   You should have a heater in the tank to warm the water. Do not use a lamp.
