Question
I have a problem with hair algae (spirogyra) growing on my live plant and glass. I want to know which on is better: API Algaefix or TETRA Algae Control for my 2.5g betta tank with a filter.

Answer
Quan,

Do you have a light that you are putting on the tank? Regular lights will start algae growing. I never put any chemicals in my tanks i just remove the algae if it grows. If you are using a regular light, never leave it on for more than 8 hours and move it around so it is not hitting the same spot all the time. I like the Tetra products so I would be partial to that one. Make sure you follow the direction on the bottle of any chemical you put in your tanks. Most are for 10 gallons so you will have to break it down to put the right amount in a smaller tank.
