Question
My 5yrs old black fish has a coating of white on its eyes it lives in a aquarium. A fish died two days ago and the water was changed yesterday

Answer
Hello Aloke, Your fish has a bacterial infection. In order for you to treat it I would recommend getting an antibacterial and adding it to your water once daily. Those infections can kill your fish if they are not treated properly. It can also impair vision as well. You can do another water change as well if you'd like. Do a 25 percent change if you'd like. Although the best thing for you to do is to add the antibacterial medicine. Local pet stores will sell bottles of it. Do not get an anti viral, the infection is bacterial.
