Question

Discus fish Since 3 months i have been having discus fish in my tank. Only 4 to 5 days ago i have found that one of my discus on has developed a few pus like pimples above the eye. The discus is inactive and does not eat at all. I tried feeding by keeping food next to it but it never eats.

Someone recommended backtopur however the status still remains the same. The pimples have grown smaller.

One of the petshop guys told me it is hole in the head disease however checked with photos of the same and it does not resemble the same.

I'm sorry, but I can't see anything unusual in that picture, but as for your description, it s hole in head disease. Keep the water clean, and feed lots of good foods, like bloodworms.

I have also heard carbon/ charcoal in the aquarium filter can cause this. I don't have experience with this, as my only discus tanks with carbon have very little.

Start with that and ask again if the problem doesn't improve in 1.5 weeks.
