Water tempature & changes Betta fish

Question
We have 2 Beta fish each in a 1.5 gal. tank. How do we keep the water warm %26 when making a water change must we clean the tank with contents as well or just the water?

Hi Barbara,
  When you put new water in the tank, put in water the same temperature as the water already in the tank.  When you change water in a fish tank, you should not change all the water at once. You should only change about 25% at a time. Avoid the temptations to "give the tank a really good clean".  That will kill all the good bacteria that are necessary to make the tank function properly.
