Fantail fish

Hi one of my fantail fish has a big lump on it with White stuff coming out of it. It's like a boil or a White head. The fishes body is about 3 4 cm long and the lump is just under a cm wide. Many thanks

Well, fantails, if we are talking about a goldfish, tend to have problems. You can add some aquarium salt to the water to help her out as long as the white stuff is not worm looking. Make sure the tank is large enough and that you are doing 25% water changes every week. how is the fish acting other wise? What are your water readings on ammonia, nitrites and nitrates? I need as much information as you can give me.
