Sick Zebra Danio

Question
One of my four Zebra Danios has been sick for almost 2 weeks now and just continues to get worse. It began when i noticed he was clamping his fins and hiding and not eating. Then when I moved him to a hospital tank, I noticed he had long stringy white stools and read that it was a symptom of parasites. I treated him for parasites but he has not improved and still won't eat although he doesnt have a long stringy white stool anymore. But he hasnt eaten in two weeks so I have no idea how he is still alive. Now he has just been lying on the bottom of the tank. I thought he was dead and tried to get him with the net but he was swimming away! I have no idea what to do or what is wrong with him at all! Any ideas would be awesome. Thanks!

Answer
Ruth,

What did you treat him with and when treating did you remove the active carbon/charcoal from the filter? What are the water perimeters? I would try salt water bath. Put one teaspoon of aquarium salt in 1 gallon of water. Make sure you dissolve the salt completely before you add the fish and that the salt water is the same temp as his tank water. Let him swim in that water for 15 minutes twice a day. Do not use the same salt water twice. Always make fresh clean salt water. This should help out a lot and get the fish back to normal. Hope this helps.
