Question
Hi crew, i have clown loaches and i feed them algae discs. However, they don't seem to know it is food. Is this normal? They do however pick on it and then swim away. Also, i don't think they eat the snails. Should i feed them at night since they are nocturnal? Last, are they allowed to eat mealworms? I also feed them veges. Thanks for all your help crew.

Answer
Greg,                                                        They are niot necesasarily nocturnal, but they do prefer low lighting. Stop they algea wafers since you are feeding them veggies. They do not like a lot of dissolved organic compounds. They do love sinking shrimp pellets, but more than that they like frozen blood worms red or black. They will eat til they can pop and when you see them getting large from a couple feedings that day feed lighter the next day. Good Luck, Tina
