I think my black fin shark is pregnant

I think my black fin shark is pregnant but how do I tell? and if it is how long will it be pregnant for?

Hi Alex,
 I don't think that is possible.  Black fin sharks are actually members of the minnow family and they don't give
birth to live young.  They are actually egg layers.  
It may be that you have a female that is building up a
supply of eggs that she will lay one of these days.
The eggs could only hatch if they were then fertilized by
a male.
