My cichlid Hello Ron. Sorry to sound foolish, but i was wondering if you could i.d a cichlid for me. I was sold it as a salvini, could you please confirm this for me?. Thank you in advance Malcolm.

Hi Malcolm,
That fish certainly looks like a salvini to me. Keep in mind that salvinis from different rivers can be very different looking, particularly in the amount of red on the body. Some have tons of red, others virtually none.
