QuestionSorry about that. Here's what I ment to say.
I have a single male green terror (Males have the red edges on the tail) along with 2 Oscars, 1 Firemouth, 3 Blue Dolphins & 1 Hap. Ahli. The supposed male Green terror has a clutch of eggs & is guarding it very ferociously. During this same time the firemouth dug up a big deep hope in the sand, which it never did earlier. I have reason to believe the firemouth caused the Green Terror to lay eggs. Another explanation could be that the green terror layed unfertilized eggs & they might just perish, but what could have caused this ? Thanks

Hello Ron
I need some help. I'm fairly new to cichilds and I got a tough question.

Hi Nick,
I think your question got cut off. By the way, both male and female green terrors can have red edges on the tail.

AnswerHi Nick,
Female cichlids will lay eggs even when there is no appropriate male around. I once had a female cichlids that was alone in a tank and yet laid eggs every three weeks, almost like clockwork. She did that for many many months in a row.
