Spotted Scat Diseases

I Would Like To Know What Is The White Dots On My Spotted Scat. How Would I Get Rid Of Them .It Is In A 40 Gallon Marine Tank.

Fisherman,                                                              I am so glad you put him into you marine tank. I have one I moved him to salt from my brakish tank a couple yrs ago. It sounds like he has ick.If he is brushing up against things like your corals or even the bottom it  may be a parasite. Go and get Coppersafe it is by Mardel. All pet store should have this. It is great for both problems and won't hurt anyone else in the tank. It is 1 tsp per ten gallons...you can put an extra one in there I always do. It stays in your water about 30 days. If your carbon is more than 3 days old you don't have to remove it like other medications. If you have to clean your tank before the 30 days just estimate what you took out and replace accordingly. This should take care of your problem. Good Luck...Tina
