Question
as you may know already i am going to get a 55 gallon and  i plan on getting both male and female dalmation mollies, platys, and fancy guppies. the problem is they will probaly have fry which i dont mind i would like to breed fish but if  i dont own a store or company and dont have room in my tank what could i do with them? i dont want them to end up in a petstore that dosnt know what their doing and i would prefere to make some money off of it too please let me know of any good place that would take them or how i could sell them. thanks for your help, Mackenzie

Answer
You can't really make money off livebearers.

Well, first off, chances are 95% of the babies will be eaten.

Any survivors will be mal nurished if not taken out of tank quick enough.

Unless you can strike a contract with the lfs, you will be lucky if they even just take them from you for no charge. And by contract, I mean you have to be able to say, yes I can provide exactly ____ fish on this date every month for the next year. If you can't then they may just give you store credit. But don't expect it to be more than 10cents a fish.

If you want you can sell them online or to other fish keepers, but livebearers are so commonly availble no one really orders them.
