QuestionHi, my name is Devon, and I am getting a new aquarium soon. My new aquarium will be 240 liters. I have another aquarium but some of the fish in it will outgrow it, which is the main reason for the new one. Plus I enjoy them immensely. I am moving one red tailed shark, and 2 clown loaches into the larger aquarium for sure. I want to keep angel fish, ram cichlids, and pearl gouramis in it as well. Possibly some rosy barbs. In my present aquarium I also have a blue gourami and a gold gourami I would consider moving as well. Could you tell me whether I would be over stocking this 240 liter aquarium? Any helpful information on the fish I plan on putting in it would be helpful too. What quantity of each fish would be suitable as well? Thank you for your help.
AnswerHi,
That would be fine, however I wouldn't put too many more fish in that tank, as clown loaches can get quite big and are very messy fish.
I would keep no more than 3 clown loach, 2 sharks, 3-4 angelfish, and 3 gourami. I think a blue ram might get eaten or bullied as the other fish grow.
