Mopani Wood in 36g bowfront tank

I just bought this cool looking picece of mopani wood from Petco, and i want to know if it will rot if keep in aquarium for a long time?

        Thank you for contacting me. I really do appreciate it. In response to your question? Yes the wood will rot if kept in the aquarium for too long. It will also change the color of the aquarium water.
