Question
QUESTION: my black moor got stuck in the tube that sucks in the water to filter the water. luckily i was giving it a quick check up and i found it in the tube i turned the filter off and used my hand to tug him out. but now he hasn't eaten much his mouth is all puckered out. i separated him into a carrier tank for a day and put him back in the 10 gallon tank along with 3 cloud fish. wat do i do i don't want him/her to get stuck??

ANSWER: Hi Cathy,
That doesn't sound good.  The filter intake needs some sort of cover over it.  What kind of filter is it?

QUESTION: Hi Ron,
The filter is a Aqua-tech 5-15 power filter with bio-fiber biological filtration and EZ-change #1 filter cartridge ( got it from the box.) The fish doesn't have its mouth puckered anymore he just swims in the bottom or floats. he eats from the pebbles at the bottom. He swam up a little as the water that comes out of the filter produces bubbles he opens his mouth to eat em ( i think.) what cover should i get I'm worried it'll get stuck again?

Answer
HI Cathy,
I am confused. As far as I know, the Aqua-tech filter has a plastic tube that goes down into the tank. On the end of that tube should be a covering that only allows water in, not fish.  Do you not have that piece?
