Question
Hi April, thank you for your great service.  Let me ask you this, I have a 120 gallon (the 5 foot long)freshwater tank and I have a AquaClear 110 HOB filter and a Reyna XP4 canister filter.  Because I have well water, the Reyna's tubes (to and from the filter itself, not the tubes inside the aquarium) are all gunky (and of course hard to clean, since the tubes are sealed to the filter) and I'm thinking about removing the canister and adding 1 or 2 more AquaClear 110 filters.  I have about 10-1 inch assorted african cichlids.  Would you recommend one or two more?  They are each are rated at 110 gallons.  Thanks April for the help, Mike

Answer
Hi Mike,

I have boatloads of the AquaClear 110's around here so I am very familiar with them.  They are my favorite HOBs.  They each pump out 500 gph each and your Xp4 pumps about 450 gph so one new 110 should more than make up for the Rena canister.  I think 2 total would do just fine.  I have 2 110 HOB's on my 120 gallon tank that has various small tropicals and they do a fine job.

Good luck : ) April M.
