Our goldfish sharkey

Our 19 year old goldfish sharkey has developed a purplexb25W mark on his head, just above his eyes and it has appeared in the last 24 to 48 hours.

Your advice would be appreciated,

Hi Andrea;

He may have injured himself or is developing an infection of some kind. You could try a partial water change. Also you could add salt and melafix to the tank to aid healing and ward off other infection. He's quite a senior citizen now so he will have a harder time fighting off infections and such. You've done a great job caring for him so far to have lived such a long life.
