finches does the male or female have face colors.

QUESTION: we have two finches the finch with color on its face made the nest in the cage. so does this mean its the female? we were told the female has no color on its face? what kind of finches do we have? please let us no if you can.

ANSWER: Males or females can make nests. Males and Females always look similar. I don't know.

QUESTION: how does a person find out the sex of zebra finches? We have to finches and one is doing all the nest building and spending most of the time in the nest. Does this mean its the female bird?

Oh! It's Zebras, females usually have a wider stance than males. I actually have a link to tell the two apart but it's unavailable at the moment. Another way is to pick them up and feel for a space where the eggs would come out. A female will have a gap whereas a male won't.
