Question
QUESTION: I have 4 finches who all live in the same cage, 3 girls and 1 boy. One of the girls has no tail feathers and no feathers around the beak at the top. Should I be concerned?

ANSWER: Sounds like you have an aggressive birdon your hands. The best thing to do is to watch who is pulling the feathers and remove the bird from the cage

QUESTION: Also, not related to the question above, but how can i get my finches to stop killing their eggs so i can breed them?

Answer
That's a little harder. It could be that they're just too young and you have to wait a year before you can try again and sometimes it's just they don't know how to be parents and never will. If it's the second, they will never have babies (I have finches like that). You can get a pair of societies and give the eggs to them. Societies have a hard time remembering which eggs are theirs and which ones aren't so they make good foster parents. Societies are the unsung heros of finch breeding.
